After a lot of time away from this site, I've decided that I might like to show my art again to a community that may respond to it, either from a critical standpoint, or not, it's up to you.

Over the past year, I've taken on a LOT of hobbies, as mentioned last time I journaled here. Lots of cooking, baking, knitting, shrinkydinking, photoblogging, and painting. I haven't the money to start a course in acrylic painting, so I might like to find inspiration and some critics here. I feel like my painting has generated the most appraisal from friends and family, so I want to pursue it further. I'm also developing a very serious interest in antique style botanical prints, sciences (particularly insect husbandry, anyone who has something locally to trade, specifically ova, TELL MEH!!). My art will probably reflect on plant life, nature, insects, emotions, etc.. I like to take a still life subject and send it through my brain for reprocessing.

This is going to be a practice in photography too, because I don't know any other way people submit paintings, and I can't scan a 3D painting with stuff protruding from the canvas! hah.


So..TLDR: Expect some acrylic painting submissions in the new year. Watch me as I delete my old stuff from the gallery, and shape this place up to look like I'm actually a painter! hehehe.
